Well back in 2020 when the new Ford Bronco debuted. They said put down $100 to reserve one and I shot my shot. I just thought, “just try and see what happens”. Later that year in November I got a call from Rick at Jarrett Ford. The call was about coming in and putting in the order for the Bronco. I was told ordering was not yet available but he wanted to know what I wanted so the day he is able to put in the order he can just put it in and he doesn’t have to contact me. So I decided on the Base Bronco with the Sasquatch package. I then waited for a while and just forgot about it somewhat.
Later in 2021 I was going through my emails and I got one from Ford saying that my build date for my Bronco would be in late July of 2021. I hoped it would be ready on 7-23-2021 so I could get it on my birthday but that didn’t happen. The email gave me a link to a page with my Bronco’s progress. On 1-20-2021 my order was confirmed. And on 7-22-2021 it stated production has started on my Bronco. The site said in production for a week before that and got my hopes up for a pickup date of 7-23-2021. The site jumps the gun a bit and says things before it has a date for it. Which really messed me up with unneeded excitement. I waited and waited and then the site said my Bronco was done being built on 8-2-2021 and was on the way to Jarrett Ford. And I knew not to get my hopes up too high due to the previous excitement level being too high. So I just waited and finally on 8-17-2021 I got a call from Rick saying that my Bronco had come in.
The timeline of my Bronco’s production
I panicked a little because I was a little unprepared at the time. I was at work and the news was unexpected. Rick said the Bronco was out and front so I could see it. I could’n clear out my schedule and take a day off to make it to the dealership till 8-23-2021 because I was busy that week and needed to be in a calm mental state before I went down there and finished getting my Bronco.
On 8-23-2021 one month after my birthday I went to Jarrett Ford to pickup my Bronco. I had my down payment and paperwork for my loan organized and I went through the financial progress of paying for the Bronco. Rick was doing double duty and was the salesperson and doing finance. I test drove the Bronco and could hear the wind noise from the soft top but it wasn’t a deal breaker. I have been driving a dump truck with no a/c for 2 years and always drive with my windows down. I didn’t add anything to the vehicle such as a ceramic coating when asked if I wanted it. I plan for the Bronco to get dirty and have no shame of it looking like it just came out of a mud hole. I finished the process of buying the Bronco and took it home and did a side by side photoshoot with my 2012 Ford Focus.
