Weekly roundup 7-14-23

Here I am again working on another weekly blog.

On Sunday I went to Import Evolution Tampa at the Florida State Fair Grounds in Tampa, FL. I had some new business cards made for the event incase someone asked for my info. And a model came up to me and asked me to take pics of her. And I was able to give her one of the cards. So it was not a bad idea at all. The new cards added my email, website, and a QR code, linking to my QR landing site.

What happened at Import Evolution Tampa?

As I said before I went to Import Evolution Tampa on Sunday. Import Evolution is a traveling car show that has many different cars of all types at it. I took my Gimbal with me and got some good footage with my Gimbal. I didn’t have any major problems while there. I my gimbal was acting weird and I couldn’t get my camera to stabilize the last hour of the car show. But I just put my gimbal back in my bag and went handheld and took pics for a bit.

Did anything from Kickstarter come in?

Yeah, the Dride 4k came in on Wednesday. I ordered it from Dride, Inc. on Kickstarter, back in November of 2021. It is now July of 2023 so that means it took 1 year and 9 months for me to receive my item. It was estimated that it world be delivered by January of 2022. So that means it is 1 year and 6 months late. I am bit bitter about it taking so long. Since they raised $1,191,083 of their $10,000 goal. But at least I have it now. Also it didn’t turn into a Star Citizen situation.

Dride 4k is a dash camera that can do 4k video. I have taken it out of the box. Although I have not started it up yet. I am taking my time filming the unboxing and setting it up.
