Senran Kagura Collection

I put better thought into it and looked at my bare wall and thought of making my own book shelves that would fit my collection. I measured the space I wanted to use and designed the shelves around the items. I measured 36×94 inches (3 feet x 7.8 feet) for the space on the wall that I had to work with. I then took out my collection and organized them into the following groups : cd cases, art books, game boxes, game cases, and blu ray cases. From there I measured all of the items to see how much space they take up. 

To see how long and wide to make the shelves. I took the measurement of the tallest item from each group to figure out how much space between the shelves I needed. I figured that the shelves needed to be 36×4 inches and there needed to be 8in or 9in between the shelves depending on the tallest item. 

In total I needed to make 9 shelves for it to work. So I went to Lowes and got ¾ inch Spruce Pine Fir Glue Edge Panels to use as the book shelves. While I was there I got the panels cut to my measurements for free. Then I went to Walmart and got 18 3x4in L brackets to attach the panels to the wall and make the shelves. From there I brought the items home and used my tools to make the shelves. I grabbed my stud finder and marked where the studs were on the wall and measured the space between them to line up the brackets on the panels.  I used my drill gun to attach the panels to the L brackets with some wood screws I had. The 3 inch side attached to the panels and the 4 inch side would be attached to the studs in the wall. I stared at the bottom of the wall and started drilling the shelves into the wall. I left the right amount of space between the shelves for the items. The art books were on the bottom shelf and only took up one shelf. Above the art books the music cd cases took up 2 shelves. Followed by the game boxes that also took up 2 shelves. Then the game cases that took up the most space with 3 shelves. And at the top shelf are the blu ray cases.
