I have been looking at Trail sight lights for my 2021 Ford Bronco off and on for years. Since I found out they were a thing. During Labor Day weekend 2025 I got a marketing email from Broaddict about a Labor Day sale they were having. So I looked over what new items they had and I found the trail sight lights for $74. Other companies want $200+ for their version of trail sight lights. But I think $200+ is a bit too much for what they are. My 42 inch Nicoko light bar only cost $179. So I believe paying more than a light bar for Trail sight lights is a dumb move.
What are Bronco Trail Sight Lights?
The Broaddict Bronco Trail Sight Lights are lights that go over the trail sights on 2021+ Ford Broncos. Trail Sights are visual aids on the left and right of the hood on 2021+ Ford Broncos.
The Broaddict Bronco Trail Sight lights add lights to the Trail Sights. By hooking them into the headlights of a 2021+ Ford Bronco. The Trail sight lights can be active when the headlights are on showing a white light. Also they can turn amber when turn signals or hazard lights are activated.
What do I like about the Bronco Trail Sight Lights?
Well I like having lights on the front of Bronco. And the Bronco Trail Sight Lights are an addition that I wanted to get. I like that they can use the input from the headlights to sync up with the turn signals and hazard lights. Their addition adds to the overall appearance of my Bronco and I really enjoy seeing them work with the rest of my lights. Knowing that I installed them and them working are an achievement that I did with my own hands.
How hard was it to install the Bronco Trail Sight Lights?
The installation was not overall difficult for me. It took me some time to do the install, a little over an hour. But I was recording everything I was doing, so some time was added to make sure most of the footage was in focus. The main things are taking off the front grille and removing the headlights. I needed a pry tool, 8mm socket, 10mm socket, and cordless racket to do the install.
How did you install the Bronco Trail Sight Lights?
Pop the hood up and put the prop rod in place to hold it up.
Grab the pry tool to pop up the plastic fasteners holding the top of the front grille attached to the Bronco. Use the pry tool to remove the plastic fasteners then remove the top of the front grille.
Grab the cordless racket and attach the 10mm deep socket to it. Locate the 10mm bolt heads holding the front grille on the Bronco. Remove the 10mm bolts holding the front grille on the Bronco.
Remove the front grille on the Bronco. Put hands at top of the grille and give the grille a good tug to remove it from the Bronco.
- Now I remove the head lights. I do the following for both headlights. Grab the cordless racket with the 10mm socket. Remove the 2 10mm bolts from each headlight. One 10mm bolt is on top and the other is in the middle near the radiator. Now grab the pry tool. Use the pry tool to remove the plastic screw next to the 10mm bolt on top of both headlights. Also use the pry tool to pull out the panel blocking the bolt holding the bottom of the headlights.
Grab the 8mm socket and change it out for the 10mm socket on the cordless racket. Use the cordless racket to remove the 8mm bolt at the bottom of both headlights.
Now that the headlights are free from the bolts. Remove the headlights with a good tug. Unplug the connector at the back of both headlights and out the headlight to the side.
Now, time to install the Trail sight lights. I do the following for both Trail Sight Lights.
Grab the trail Sight lights. Attach the headlight adapters to the headlight connectors on the Bronco. Then attach the Trail Sight Lights to the headlight adapters.
Now attach the positive wire of the Trail Sight Lights to my 1st circuit of my relay board. Ground comes from the headlight connector.
Grab the Trail Sight Light and remove the red side of double sided tape. Then press the Trail Sight Light on to the Trail Slight and wait for a full minute while keeping the pressure on the Trail Sight Light.
Now the Trail Sight Light should be attached to the Trail Sight.
And that is about it. I put the headlights back in place, the front grille, and top grille and closed everything up.
